We are currently looking for two personal assistants for a man in his 60s living in northern Gotland. He lives with ALS and needs safe, professional, and respectful support in his daily life. Here, you will have an important role in a small team where continuity, responsibility, and collaboration are crucial.

This is a job for you who are responsible, attentive, and understand the importance of integrity, self-determination, and continuity.

About the Position

As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and are an important support in his daily life. The work is performed in the home and in the environments where he stays.

Tasks may include:

• Personal care
• Support in daily routines
• Transfers and mobility assistance
• Accompaniment to activities and errands
• Practical support in the home

The work requires presence, patience, and the ability to adapt to the client's daily condition and needs.

The work is structured, and you will receive a clear introduction to assistive devices and routines.

Working Hours

We offer two separate full-time positions with different focuses:

Position 1 – Day/Evening

The work is scheduled for day and evening shifts according to a roster, seven days a week.

• Day shift: 08:00–16:00
• Evening shift: 16:00–22:30

You will work varying day and evening shifts according to an agreed schedule.

Position 2 – Awake Night

The work is scheduled for awake night shifts according to a roster, seven days a week.

• Awake night: 22:00–08:30

As a night assistant, you are responsible for safety, supervision, and care during the night.

Schedule and Extent

The positions are full-time and scheduled by agreement. We strive for continuity and long-term stability in scheduling.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written
• Class B driver's license and access to a car (mileage reimbursement applies under specific conditions)
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Availability to work according to the position's schedule (day/evening or night)

Merits:

• Experience as a personal assistant
• Experience with ALS or other neurological diseases
• Care and welfare education (e.g., assistant nurse)
