The Prison and Probation Service is Growing – We are Hiring a Case Handler with a Technical Focus

The Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and extending our operations. We are now seeking more colleagues. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious circle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand prisons, and client transport.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks are varied, often with a technical focus. In this role, the case handler will support the section and its experts. Duties include drafting and reviewing technical descriptions and type drawings within the field of security technology. Assignments may also involve convening, presenting, and taking minutes in various meeting series.

Due to the current expansion phase, the section operates at a high pace, creating a need for support with administration and assistance in certain areas. It will be exciting and interesting to see how a case handler can contribute to even better work processes within the section. As this is a new type of role within the section, there is an opportunity to shape and develop it together with other colleagues, based on the needs that arise as the section grows.

You will work with administrative tasks such as monitoring email inboxes, minute-taking, documentation, and ordering access rights for digital collaboration platforms. You may also become involved in handling issues related to several contracts managed by the section, such as security protection matters, registry checks, and procurement.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. With your structural ability, you are expected to contribute to improving work methods and streamlining processes for the section.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the role of case handler, we are looking for someone who works well with others and relates to them in an attentive and smooth manner. We are looking for someone who has:

Academic education or education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Prison and Probation Service
Class B Driver's License
Experience with project planning and procurement of tele-technical security systems
Experience in preparing tender documents for tele-technical security installations
Experience with administrative tasks, minute-taking, documentation, and access right ordering
Experience with case handling and various types of orders
Ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish
Good knowledge of the Office package
Good knowledge of security technology

It is a merit if you have:

Experience with similar tasks within a government agency
Experience with security protection-related tasks (procurement, contracts, security clearance)
Experience with filing (diarization)
Good knowledge of public procurement
Good knowledge of security protection
Good knowledge of the Prison and Probation Service's various support systems such as Krimson, Proceedo, Antura, Heroma, Platina, and Felix
