RESPONSIBILITIES

For the summer, we are looking for engaged substitutes for both the Municipality's Welcome Center and the Social Administration's reception. With us, you will play an important role in creating a professional and welcoming reception for the municipality's residents.

The assignment involves replacing regular employees during the vacation period, while also being able to contribute with short notice when the operation requires it. The need extends from week 27 to week 34. Since the two operations have partially different assignments, the scope of the positions may vary depending on the needs of the operation.

As a receptionist, you are one of the municipality's most important contact points and the face of our citizens and visitors. You work to receive, answer, and handle questions and cases from residents, employees, and other stakeholders both physically, via telephone, and through digital channels, and help them find their way in their cases.

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Provide information, guidance, and support on municipal issues.
  • Staffing of reception and telephone switchboard.
  • Various administrative tasks.
  • Mail handling.

In the Welcome Center, tasks also include, for example, card authorizations, room booking, and tourism issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education and have experience of service-oriented work and administrative tasks. Previous experience of customer service is an asset.

The role requires good computer skills and that you feel comfortable working in various digital systems. You express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing and also have good knowledge of English. Furthermore, you are structured, flexible, and find it easy to prioritize and switch between different tasks.

As a person, you have a strong service mindset and a solution-oriented approach. You are communicative, attentive, and enjoy meeting people. You have the ability to adapt your reception and communication based on the situation and individual. You also have the ability to remain calm and act professionally even in more challenging situations.

For work in the Welcome Center, we prefer that you have good local knowledge of Ockelbo Municipality, as tourism issues may arise.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days – 3 months.

Within Ockelbo Municipality, there is a political decision that an extract from the criminal record register is required upon new employment.

It is closer than you think; with X-traffic, it takes 22 minutes from Gävle, 35 minutes from Sandviken, and 35 minutes from Bollnäs to get here.
