We are now looking for a Finance Officer for the Business Support Unit. The unit consists of approximately 20 people and includes the functions of finance, business controlling, procurement, HR, and service.

About the Job

As a Finance Officer, you will serve as support to the management and department heads, coordinating processes related to financial management, budgeting, and financial follow-up together with the Head of Finance.

The role involves delivering forecasts, financial analyses, and financial summaries internally to management and department heads, as well as externally to the government. You will be part of the unit's finance function as a member of the team and will also have tasks within accounting, monthly follow-up, and year-end closing.

Development work is ongoing within the function, and we expect you to take a driving role in this. The Head of Finance will be your manager, and you will collaborate with, among others, the business controller, colleagues in the finance function, and department heads.

About You

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Economics or equivalent as assessed by the employer, good skills in Excel, at least three years of experience in financial management, and at least two years of experience in financial accounting. You have experience in development work and digitalization within finance. You are used to working independently, driving your own processes, and have experience as a management support.

It is an advantage if you have experience with public sector accounting and knowledge of public sector management. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked with the financial system Unit 4 ERP, formerly Agresso.

As a person, you are structured and self-reliant, take responsibility for your tasks, structure your own approaches, and drive your processes. You have a problem-solving analytical ability where you break down problems into their components and solve complex issues. Furthermore, you need to have good collaboration skills and find it easy to build good relationships. You express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and have the ability to communicate economic relationships in a pedagogical way.

Personal competence is crucial for your success in the assignment, and we therefore place great importance on your personal qualities.

The County Administrative Board has an important coordinating role during societal disruptions, and therefore all employees are part of the crisis and war organization.
