Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. The HR function works collaboratively in teams with other support functions, where openness and cooperation are key success factors. As an HR Generalist, you, together with the rest of the HR team, play a central role in achieving good and sustainable results. We continuously work to develop the organization to improve operational support and processes, with the aim of focusing more clearly on students' goal fulfillment.

We are now looking for an HR Generalist who wants to work closely with operations and contribute to strengthening our managers in their employer responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HR Generalist, you will work consultatively and closely with managers within Education Gävle. You will be responsible for your own operational areas and be an important partner in matters concerning employer responsibility, work environment, and competence supply.

You will support around twenty managers in personnel-related issues, such as:

  • labor law issues
  • salary reviews and salary formation
  • systematic work environment management
  • rehabilitation and work adaptation
  • recruitment and competence supply
  • restructuring
  • collaboration with trade unions

The assignment also includes planning and conducting training initiatives for managers, for example in labor law, work environment, and management introduction.

You will be part of the HR team within Education Gävle, which consists of six HR consultants and one HR strategist. Together, you will develop routines and HR processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and operational benefit. Monitoring the external environment and development work is a natural part of the assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university degree in human resources or labor relations, or other education that the employer considers equivalent
  • experience in qualified HR work
  • good knowledge of labor law and work environment
  • experience in providing consultative HR support to managers
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you have experience in:

  • working with salary reviews and salary formation
  • HR work in the public sector
  • planning and conducting training initiatives for managers

To succeed in this role, you need to have a good ability to create trusting relationships and work consultatively with managers.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is stable and secure in your professional role. You handle complex personnel matters professionally and instill confidence in dialogue with managers, employees, and union representatives.
  • is relationship-building. You quickly establish trusting collaborations and easily create good relationships with both managers, colleagues, and union representatives.
  • has good communication skills. You express yourself clearly in both speech and writing and can explain HR issues, regulations, and processes in a pedagogical way. You feel confident leading training sessions, holding workshops, and supporting managers in change work.
  • is flexible and solution-oriented. You easily adapt to changing conditions and see opportunities in development and change within the organization.
