Do you have legal expertise and thrive in an independent role where you drive cases from start to finish? In this position, you will work with advanced claims handling, assess liability for damages, and support customers in disputes, as part of an unpretentious team and a company that values long-term relationships, security, and good service.
About the position
This position is a direct recruitment, meaning that the recruitment process is conducted through Bravura and you will be employed directly by Länsförsäkringar Gävleborg.
About the company
Länsförsäkringar Gävleborg is a customer-owned company with local roots and a long history in the region. The business consists of both banking and insurance, where the claims department handles everything from motor and personal injuries to corporate damages and legal protection.
In the liability and legal protection group, a smaller team with deep expertise in law and claims handling currently works. The culture is described as familial, friendly, and responsible – here, everyone helps each other, takes significant personal responsibility, and decisions are made quickly.
As an employee, you will enjoy attractive benefits, good development opportunities, and a workplace that trusts employees' ability to plan and execute their work.
Job responsibilities
In the role of claims adjuster within liability and legal protection, you will independently investigate and settle cases related to corporate clients. You are responsible for the entire process, from initial contact to final decision, which means you will make legal assessments, analyze claims for damages, and interpret insurance terms to determine whether compensation should be paid. A central part of the job is to assess whether the insured is liable for damages and the extent of that liability. In many cases, you will also support customers in disputes where you interpret legal protection terms, make legal considerations, and collaborate with external lawyers when the case requires specialized expertise.
You will have ongoing contact with customers who are in situations ranging from everyday to very complex, and you are responsible for communicating clear messages, providing continuous feedback, and creating security throughout the process. The work involves daily switching between legal analyses, customer dialogue, and collaboration with colleagues in both sales, corporate law, and other claims areas. If necessary, you will also collaborate with investigators when the case requires additional fact-finding.
