Every day, the Tenants' Association, its employees, elected representatives, and members contribute to improving and securing housing for people, which is a human right. We have been doing this for many years and want to continue advocating for tenants' interests, rights, and opportunities to influence their housing in the future. We now need reinforcement and are looking for a lawyer in Gävle.

Your mission

As a lawyer, you play an important role in our organization. You are the legal representative of the members and represent them before the rent tribunal and courts. Negotiating with landlords on behalf of members regarding maintenance, repair, and compensation matters is also part of the job. In your tasks, you will provide support in legal matters internally within the organization. You will handle and investigate legal issues, and it is required that you are well-versed in applicable legislation and practice.

We are looking for someone who:

Qualifications

• Has a law degree / legal education
• Has a good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Has an easy time building trust, a service-oriented approach, and high integrity
• Enjoys meeting people in various contexts and using your legal knowledge to guide members to a solution.

• It is an advantage if you are a notary or have litigation experience acquired in other ways.
• It is also an advantage if you have experience working in a non-profit organization.
• Other merits we appreciate are media experience and other language skills beyond Swedish and English.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

The position is a permanent employment with a start date to be agreed upon. We apply a six-month probationary period. The workplace for the position is Gävle, Kyrkogatan 29.
