Career Guidance Facilitator

Career guidance is a task that Connecto carries out on behalf of the Swedish Public Employment Service. Participants are referred to the program through the Employment Service with the aim of strengthening their opportunities for work or studies.

As a facilitator in the program, you will work closely with participants on their development journey. You will lead group activities, coach, inspire, and motivate participants to find a sustainable path forward towards work or studies.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and structuring the daily work, including weekly planning and monitoring each participant's progress through careful and qualitative documentation. You will work goal-oriented and ensure that each participant receives the right support based on their needs.

You will collaborate closely with study and career counselors, where you will guide participants together towards achieving their individual goals.

Your role:

Group Activities: You will have close contact with participants, map their needs and competencies, conduct group activities, and coach them towards their goals.

Career Planning: Increase participants' self-awareness and labor market knowledge so that they can develop clear and realistic career plans.

Administration: Documentation is a central part of the assignment in career guidance. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to plan and structure your administrative work effectively.

Organizing and conducting company and study visits: You will plan and lead study visits to companies and educational institutions to give participants insight into various professions and educational opportunities.

Who are you?

• You are a curious, empathetic, and driven person with a good ability to build relationships.
• You have a good network locally in the business community and associations in Gävle and surrounding areas.
• You have good knowledge of the Swedish labor market, education system, and digital tools.
• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you speak multiple languages.
• You are structured and can plan and execute activities effectively.

We see that you have:

• Experience in coaching, mentoring, or working with job seekers
• Good ability to lead groups and create engagement
• Experience in documentation and administrative tasks
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working within the Employment Service's assignments or similar initiatives
• Knowledge of the labor market and education system
• Experience working goal-oriented and results-oriented
• Experience with our digital platforms Workbuster and Microsoft 365

Requirements

Education:

At least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with at least a passing grade.

Work Experience:

At least three (3) years of work experience equivalent to full-time in one or more of the following professions or tasks:

• Management with personnel responsibility.
• Recruitment
• Transition work for job seekers
• Study and career guidance
• Handling personnel issues (not just personnel administration)
• Work with labor and labor market issues
• Work with social and group psychology
• Career guidance.
