RESPONSIBILITIES
Östregård School is a K-6 school with approximately 300 students. The school is centrally located in Växjö and offers a beautiful view of Växjö Lake. We work with a shared and living systematic quality work that permeates the entire operation. Our focus lies on the students' safety, well-being, and study environment, where student health plays a central role. We have a strong focus on language-developing working methods, safety, well-being, and the preventive and promoting work of student health.
You will teach textile crafts and, together with a colleague, be responsible for the crafts subject. You will be part of a work team that meets continuously to collaboratively plan and carry out daily activities towards our common goals.
We work together on systematic quality work to maintain a focus on student development.
You are responsible for planning, conducting, assessing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with our governing documents, but also based on collaborative learning. You always keep the student in focus, based on our joint work with a shared vision of a pedagogically, socially, and physically accessible learning environment. The position is 60% but can be combined with other duties to reach 100%.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree/teaching license and eligibility to teach the subject of crafts, or alternatively, experience in teaching the current assignment.
You also have a conscious mindset regarding your role as a pedagogue and are a clear leader who works structuredly based on current governing documents and a professional approach. You have the ability to create a good working climate with engagement, curiosity, and safety in the group, and you see and meet students' different needs based on their different prerequisites. You stimulate all students to develop, document their results, and inform students and guardians in a good way about how learning progresses. You also have a positive attitude, a flexible working method, very good collaboration skills, and contribute to the development of the operation.
