Job Responsibilities
As a teacher in adapted primary school, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on students' individual needs and abilities. You will work with clear pedagogy and use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) in various forms, such as sign support and picture support. You will employ low-arousal and relational approaches.
You will collaborate closely with work teams, parents, student health services, and other professionals with the goal of creating the best possible school situation for students, regarding both knowledge development and social development.
With calmness, security, structure, and flexibility, you will effectively build good relationships and create an inclusive learning environment.
The adapted primary school is divided into two units:
- Grades F–6, which is part of Paradisskolan.
- Grades 7–9, which is part of Linnéskolan.
Collaboration between the units is a natural and important part of daily life.
Qualifications
You are a licensed special education teacher with a specialization in intellectual disabilities (ID). Experience working in adapted schools is an asset. Other special pedagogical competencies are also considered an advantage. You must also hold a B-class driver's license.
As a person, you are calm, secure, and flexible. You have an easy time building good relationships and collaborating both within your own work team and externally.
