RESPONSIBILITIES
Östregårdskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 300 students. The school is centrally located in Växjö and offers a beautiful view of Lake Växjösjön. We work with a shared and living systematic quality assurance process that permeates the entire operation. Our focus lies on the students' safety, well-being, and study environment, where student health services play a central role.
You will work in our after-school center (fritidshem), primarily with students aged 6-12 years. Together with other after-school teachers, you will plan and conduct teaching based on the curriculum. During school hours, tasks may vary depending on your competence and the students' needs, and may involve teaching whole or half classes.
You will become part of a team that meets weekly to collaboratively plan and develop daily activities. We work together on our systematic quality assurance to maintain focus on the quality of the operation and the students' development.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with education and certification as an after-school teacher. Previous experience working in a school with similar tasks is an asset. You may also be considered if you are currently studying to become an after-school teacher or have relevant experience in the profession.
You have a conscious approach to your role as a pedagogue and are a clear leader who works structuredly based on current guidelines and a professional attitude. You have the ability to create a good working climate characterized by engagement, curiosity, and safety within the group. You see and meet students' different needs based on their individual prerequisites.
You stimulate students in their development, document their progress, and inform both students and guardians about how learning is progressing. You have a positive attitude, a flexible working style, and excellent collaboration skills, and you actively contribute to the development of the operation.
