This autumn, we will open the doors to Gävle's new Fridhemsskolan. It is a single-track school for grades F-6 with new premises and a fantastic schoolyard. The school is part of the Nynäs principal area. Engaged staff work at the school, and there is a strong interest among everyone to develop the school activities so that students get a solid foundation. The school's ambition is for students to feel safe at school and achieve good academic results.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want a meaningful job with engaged and supportive colleagues? Are you also driven to inspire, lead, and motivate students? Great, then we may have the job for you.

You will be responsible for planning and teaching in the school-age education and care (SACE) program. The work includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities according to decided goals and guidelines. In the mornings, you will work in a class/group or with individual students.

Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to creating a school where everyone feels safe and seen, including students, parents, and staff. The work is carried out in collaboration with other educators, student health services, and parents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who holds a teaching license with qualification to teach in school-age education and care. You are familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for compulsory school, as well as for preschool class and school-age education and care, which you uphold in your work. You have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. To perform the assignment well, you need knowledge of and experience with digital tools.

As a person, you inspire trust, create confidence, and reliability. You have the ability to spread calm and stability. Furthermore, you are curious, creative, and open to new solutions while maintaining a non-competitive approach in your collaboration with others. You take your own initiatives, are courageous, and have the ability to distinguish between the issue and the person.

You can lead and motivate students, making them feel comfortable and well. You are structured and plan your work well, while also having the ability to create an open dialogue and adapt your language based on the situation. You have a good ability to make students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion.

The final candidate must be able to present a criminal record check from the police for work within a school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.
