RESPONSIBILITIES

As a high school teacher, you will be responsible for teaching, class leadership, as well as planning, conducting, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Your duties also include mentoring and, together with your colleagues, designing a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You will challenge and support students so that they achieve good academic results, adapting your teaching to the needs and conditions of all students. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

Vasaskolan is divided into program specializations. As a high school teacher, you will work in both work teams and subject teams, as well as individually, with a focus on student development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal requirements:

Teacher education and teaching license with eligibility to teach mathematics and physics
Good knowledge of the high school curriculum and governing documents
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Experience working with digital tools in teaching
Ability to plan and adapt teaching based on students' different conditions and needs

Merits:

Experience in mentoring
Experience in collaboration with student health teams
Experience in developing working methods to strengthen students' knowledge development

an inclusive working approach and actively work to ensure all students feel involved and engaged in teaching
