About the School
Milbo School is a grades 1-6 school located in the pleasant area of Hille on the northern outskirts of Gävle. The operation is divided into two buildings, grades 1-3 and 4-6, and has approximately 350 students. Together with the schools in Björke, Trödje, and Bergby, Milbo School belongs to the Bergby Principal Area.

The after-school care center plays a decisive role in students' social development and learning. Here, we complement the school's teaching by offering varied activities that strengthen and deepen the work towards the curriculum's goals. Creativity, play, and movement are central parts of our activities, and here students get the opportunity to explore, collaborate, and grow.
Your Role
As an after-school care teacher at Milbo School, you will have an important and varied role. You are responsible for planning and teaching in the after-school care center and are also involved in physical education.
Some of your tasks
- Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and following up on activities based on set goals and guidelines with a focus on quality and development.
- Together with your colleagues, you help create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where everyone feels seen and valued, including students, guardians, and staff.
- You collaborate closely with other educators, student health services, and homes to give every student the best possible conditions.
Qualifications
Formal Requirements
We are looking for someone who holds a teaching license with eligibility to teach in after-school care. You are familiar with and have knowledge of the curriculum for compulsory school, as well as for preschool class and after-school care. Furthermore, you have the ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing, and have knowledge of and experience working with digital tools.

In accordance with Gävle Municipality's value system, you have a good attitude, a good ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.
As a final candidate, you must be able to present a criminal record check from the police for work within school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.
