Fridhemsskolan Opens This Autumn!

This is a single-stream school for grades Pre-K through 6, moving into newly built and renovated facilities. Our goal is to provide every student from preschool class to grade 6 with the best possible conditions to succeed in school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher for grades 4–6, you will be responsible for teaching, class leadership, and the mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines. Your duties also include mentoring and collaborating with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests at heart.

You will challenge and support students to achieve good academic results and adapt your teaching to meet the needs and conditions of all students. The work is performed in collaboration with other educators, student health services, parents, and other actors outside the school.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Teaching
• Class leadership
• Mentoring
• Mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs and conditions of all students
• Collaboration with educators, student health services, parents, and other external actors

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal competencies:

• Teacher's degree and teacher's license with qualification to teach grades 4–6
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the national curriculum for primary school
• Experience working with digital tools
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

To succeed in this role, you have:

• The ability to lead and motivate your students and create an environment where they feel comfortable, well, and a sense of belonging
• An inclusive working approach and actively work to ensure all students feel involved in the teaching
• The ability to create an open dialogue and adapt your language based on the situation and the recipient

In accordance with Gävle Municipality's value system, you have a good attitude, a strong ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.

The final candidate must be able to present a criminal record check from the police for work within schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
