About the role
In this role, you will become part of an agile development team working on cloud-based solutions for connected vehicles. The team develops features that enable, for example, remote climate control of the car or integration with other services.

In this role, you will work with:

• Developing and improving cloud-based backend services
• Designing and building modern microservices
• Testing, deploying, and maintaining systems
• Collaborating closely with the team and contributing to technical decisions

You will also have the opportunity to broaden your expertise in other areas, such as mobile development and embedded systems.

We are looking for you who:

• Have strong knowledge of Java
• Have experience with backend development in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
• Have knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices
• Have experience with databases (e.g., SQL, Postgres, or Cassandra)
• Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Hold a B driver's license

It is also an advantage if you have:

• Experience with REST or gRPC
• Knowledge of tools such as Grafana or PagerDuty
• Experience with message queues such as Kafka or MQTT
• Experience with Postman
• Can show relevant hobby projects

We are looking for a person who is curious and has a strong desire to continuously learn new techniques and develop in their role. You enjoy taking responsibility and working independently, while also appreciating teamwork and contributing to a positive team spirit. As a person, you are structured in your working methods and have a natural ability to analyze problems and find solutions efficiently. You are also comfortable communicating in English, both orally and in writing, as it is a natural part of the daily work.

About the employment
This is a long-term consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday and may eventually transition to employment with the client.
