Gerlesborgsskolan is one of Sweden's largest and most recognized art schools at the foundational level, with 40 students in Bohuslän and 74 in Stockholm.

Founded in 1944 by Professor Arne Isacsson, the school is located a stone's throw from the sea in Gerlesborg near Bottnaforden. In 1958, the operation was expanded with the school in Stockholm, which moved to new spacious premises in the Dahlénum area of Lidingö at the beginning of the year.

Our ambition is to develop and deepen each student's individual artistic expression. The education includes several techniques and methods within fine arts such as painting, drawing, sculpture, video, and performance. Art history, critical dialogue, and reflection are also key components of the two-year program.

We are looking for a professional artist primarily focused on painting. In this role, you will also guide second-year students in drawing, sculpture, installation, and video. You have solid experience in teaching at the post-secondary level.

The assignment includes:

· supporting students throughout their education and contributing to a good study environment

· being responsible for and leading courses

· conducting studio discussions, both individually and in groups

We are looking for someone who:

· has painting as one of their main mediums

· can guide through practical moments and exercises

· can broaden our students' knowledge in the field of art

· can motivate and support our primarily young students

· is responsible, structured, and collaborative

It is an advantage if you have:

· a master's degree in fine arts, or comparable experience as a professional artist

· pedagogical training or further education, or comparable experience in teaching and mentoring

· experience in making education accessible based on students' different conditions
