Hello! Are you our new special educator or special teacher? My name is Viktor Orellana, and I am the principal of Lindeskolan and will be your immediate supervisor.
For me, student health work is the heart of the school’s educational activities, and I look forward to continuing to develop the work at the school together with you and the rest of the staff.

Lindeskolan is a newly started school since the autumn term of 2020 when we opened with preschool class. The school, located in Enskede Gård, is growing from the ground up, and this school year we have about 320 students from preschool class to grade 5. In the school year 26/27, we will expand by one more grade. We have approximately 50 employees.
As a newly started school, we have the advantage of building a school from the ground up. Our starting point is to create a family-like atmosphere where we together take responsibility for a good and pleasant school environment where knowledge and joyful learning are important building blocks. We have a relational and norm-aware approach. It is important for us that our students feel safe and happy when they are in our activities. All staff work closely together. Flexibility, lack of prestige, and joy are some attributes that characterize the staff group.

Your role
We are looking for an engaged and driven special educator or special teacher who wants to make a difference for our students. You have a holistic perspective and work closely with the operations, where you value being visible and accessible to both students and educators. You have a clear student focus and strive to put the students' needs at the center.
You have very good knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities and compensatory aids. You will work proactively and preventively at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You primarily work with grades 4-6 but have a close collaboration with a special education colleague responsible for grades F-3, and together you have a holistic view of grades F-6. Depending on your competence, the content of the assignment may vary.
In the role of special educator or special teacher:
- You have a close collaboration with the other student health team and work health-promoting and preventively so that all students receive the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development.
- You work closely with students and classrooms to build relationships with students and educators.
- You map opportunities and obstacles in the school environment and have a consultative and guiding role towards educators and working teams.
- You propose interventions and adaptations for students in need of this and participate in meetings and in the establishment of investigations and action plans, as well as follow-up and evaluation of these.
- You work practically to provide special support at the individual and group level.
- You contribute to school development by keeping yourself updated on current research in the field of education and special education.
- The work involves many contact points with students, staff, guardians, and external authorities.
Your competence and experience
You should:
- have a teaching license with authorization to teach in grades 4-6.
- have a degree as a special educator or special teacher with a specialization in mathematics development.
- be well-versed in the school’s governing documents and assignments.
- be responsible and have very good collaboration skills.
- be flexible, initiative-taking, and empathetic.
- enjoy sharing your experiences and knowledge while being open to new working methods.
It is meritorious if you have several years of experience working as a special educator or special teacher, as well as experience working with students with problematic school absenteeism and the journal system Prorenata.
You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
