We are now looking for a teacher for grades 7-9 with qualifications in mathematics, technology, and one or more science subjects.

You will be part of one of our 4 teacher teams where you will collaboratively plan and be responsible for the students' education and development. Your focus will be on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach our students in math, science, and technology, where you educate and support them in their social and academic development. You will challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Your role also includes mentorship. As a mentor, you will have specific responsibility for a group of students that you will have the opportunity to closely follow in their academic development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you will inform and keep the student's guardians updated on the student's progress.

The Assignment

You who are applying are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 7-9 in mathematics, technology, and all science subjects. If you also have special education qualifications, we consider that an advantage. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with a good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

Roslagsskolan is centrally located in beautiful Norrtälje, which offers varied learning opportunities through proximity to nature, businesses, and sports facilities. Approximately 500 students in grades 7-9 are enrolled at Roslagsskolan, distributed across 4 teams. Around 60 dedicated employees work here, nearly 45 of whom are educators who, with great subject pride, create an environment that best promotes learning. At the school, all functions are important, and we are a cohesive team working together with our students to provide them with the best conditions for a good school experience.

The school should work relationally with students and engage in the student's entire school situation. We have common rules that are well implemented to achieve order and a good study environment. The school is mobile-free.
