The position and job responsibilities

Broängsskolan is now looking for a creative and dedicated language teacher for grades 6–9.

Through good structure, planning, and a thoughtful learning environment, you create security and provide our students with good conditions for their learning.

In your role, you will conduct teaching and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up of lessons and grading. You will be part of a work team and participate in the team's collaborative efforts. You contribute to a good learning environment through active participation in working groups. Together, you will focus on the students' knowledge development. You will also collaborate with other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's core values work and work inclusively. You are committed to staying updated as a teacher and in your subjects through environmental monitoring, professional development, and collegial learning. Mentorship is a central part of your role through social contacts with students and classes, communication with guardians, absence management, and development discussions, as well as collaboration with authorities and social services. In your role, you will collaborate with the student health team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching. As an employee with us, you are an ambassador for the school by participating in open houses, fairs, etc.

Your main job responsibilities:

• Teach subjects such as Swedish, English, French, or Spanish in grades 6–9
• Regularly monitor students' learning
• Mentorship in a 9th-grade class together with a colleague
• Create opportunities for students with special needs to succeed in teaching
• Be active in collegial learning
• Use digital devices as a natural part of teaching
• Use Vklass (Botkyrka municipality's digital learning platform) to document students' development, teaching, and communication

Broängsskolan is a well-functioning and popular F-9 school in Tumba with about 640 students and an associated municipal-wide flexible group 1–9. We are part of a principal area, Tumba Södra, together with Kassmyraskolan, which has grades F-6 and adapted primary school. Broängsskolan is located in a scenic area close to good transport links, and the school has a very high proportion of well-educated and qualified staff. The school offers safety, joy of life, close relationships between staff and students, and an environment that fosters creative expression and learning. We strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to grow at their own pace while encouraging them to dare a little more. We have also increased the number of digital devices in the last school year, which means that we have 1–2 devices from grades F-1 and 1–1 from grades 2-9.

Who you are

Requirements: Teacher certification – Swedish/SVA, English, French, Spanish

Meritorious: Experience working as a teacher (primarily in the subjects relevant to the position) IKT knowledge (Google) Experience with V-Klass
