Job Responsibilities

As an IT specialist, you will work in a team with colleagues who operate and manage healthcare IT systems. Your main tasks will include application operations at the server level, ongoing maintenance, system configuration, and problem analysis. Requirements management, testing, as well as IT-related troubleshooting/incident management at the server and database level, as well as file systems, are also included. You will also participate in larger digitization projects where new working methods and technologies are introduced.

About the Workplace

The Digital Support Administration is Region Västmanland's internal IT organization with the mission to deliver services within digital technology and manage healthcare and operational systems for the region's various activities. We work in large complex environments with a wide range of technology and processes. Our work is characterized by constant modernization, development, and significant challenges.

The unit that manages several of the healthcare IT systems is the Electronic Journal unit where this position is located. Their mission is to provide the best possible IT support to healthcare. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education in areas such as system science, or other education and work experience that the employer deems equivalent. We see that you have expertise in areas such as Microsoft SQL Server, Linux, and Openshift. Our infrastructure consists mainly of Microsoft products.

To be considered for the position, you also need to have skills in automation, installation, operations, and experience with complex IT operations of Enterprise systems with a high service level (SLA). You have broad knowledge of application operations at the server level, IT development, integration development, and have worked with container solutions. It is an advantage if you have experience with IT systems and digitization in healthcare as well as working with integration and application issues.

As a person, we are looking for someone with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize their work and drive it forward. You are communicative and contribute to good collaboration with others. You work proactively to find good solutions for the organization. Since you will work in a development-intensive area, we see that you have a positive attitude towards development and that you are an initiative-taking person who keeps updated with what is happening in the field.
