The Industry and Defence Technology business area at Combitech in Västerås is looking for several experienced employees to join a new development team. What the role entails

In one of our in-house teams, we are entering a really exciting phase - we are going to develop a completely new communication platform from scratch in the defense and security area. Here, you will help shape architecture, technology choices, and solutions from the start, together with an experienced and engaged team.

Our work includes both software and system development, and in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with exciting areas such as cybersecurity, cloud-native solutions, communication technology, AI/ML, and system architecture. You will operate in an environment with Linux and Kubernetes, using tools and languages such as Java, Python, Bitbucket, Jira, and various DevSecOps platforms. Since the platform is under development, you will have significant influence over technology and architecture, with the opportunity to set the direction for a solution that will be used in critical societal environments. Here, you have the chance to contribute to something long-term, important, and really fun.

The team is based in our newly built office centrally located in Västerås. Together with experts from other parts of Combitech, the team's competence grows significantly. Work is primarily conducted from the office, and some business travel within Sweden will occur.

We are now looking for several new colleagues with broad experience in software and system development. In our teams, you will work with everything from application development and system-level programming to scripting, testing, driver development, and OS configuration - depending on your profile and what you are passionate about.

You will be part of a team responsible for all or parts of advanced systems and platforms. The work is varied, developing, and often cross-functional, with close collaboration with other developers, architects, and domain experts. For several of our roles, you will also help shape new solutions from the ground up, with modern cloud-native working methods and a focus on robustness, security, and long-term scalability.

What we are looking for

We see that you have an academic degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Science, Networking, or equivalent.
