IT Technicians Wanted for the Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS)
The Implementation Department in Arboga is now seeking more IT technicians to join our department, which is part of the Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS).
About the Position:
Our department in Arboga is growing with more tasks, and we need more IT technicians who want to develop with us on our growth journey. A unique opportunity to gain better IT knowledge and choose a direction towards one of our many different assignments.
The position includes working with daily tasks, orders/projects, deliveries, troubleshooting, preventive work, documentation, and advisory services. Support with simpler issues and also assistance within network & server is sought. Networking and contact with various units within the armed forces and other authorities are part of the job. Travel may be required.
The Swedish Armed Forces has a strong value base built on openness, results, and responsibility. The operations offer great variation and complexity and place high demands on IT security.
Qualifications:
- Education in data/IT/technology, or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as comparable by the employer.
- Experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the data/IT field.
- Knowledge of network construction.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in administration.
- Manual driving license (B).
Meritorious:
- Experience with the operations and organization of the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Authorization for our systems in higher security class.
- Server competence.
- Military basic training.

The position is a permanent employment as a civilian employee and begins with a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed within the Armed Forces.
