Our client is one of the largest technology consulting companies in the Nordic region, working with unique, complex technical solutions for defense, civil, and public sectors. We are now looking for an IT technician to strengthen the team on-site in Arboga, which works with the repair and maintenance of surveillance radar systems. About the position
As an IT technician, you will be an important part of the workshop team, handling both hardware and software for advanced IT solutions. You will perform system installations, mechanical work with hardware, and contribute to developing new technical solutions based on customer requirements. You will primarily work with the technicians in the workshop who handle electrical solutions in the radar systems. You will also have close communication with the team’s engineers, and the team as a whole works together with the responsibility for the repair and maintenance of the radar systems on behalf of the customer. This role is suitable for you who have a genuine technical interest and appreciate performing meticulous work with technology that is unique in its kind.

Responsibilities
As an IT technician, you will work with both hardware and software in computers. This involves a combination of mechanical work with hardware and installation as well as configuration of software and operating systems. Below are examples of tasks you can expect to perform.
- Dismantle and assemble IT products to replace hardware with approved components.
- Install software and systems according to specific customer requirements and packaging.
- Set up and configure operating systems, both Windows and Linux.
- Test new systems and components to ensure functionality.
- Contribute to developing new technical solutions and processes.
We are looking for you who
- Have a genuine interest in IT and technology, with both hardware and software skills sought.
- Have experience working with hardware, including assembling and disassembling computers.
- Have good knowledge of Windows and Linux as operating systems.
- Have experience with documentation and reporting.
- Have basic knowledge of electricity/electronics.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
- Hold a B driver's license.
We believe you meet the above requirements through a few years of work experience or by having a relevant education in a technical field combined with a personal interest where you have independently worked with the aforementioned requirements.
It is a plus if you have
- Knowledge of network technology.
- Experience in programming in C, C++, or Python.
