The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command, FMTIS, is seeking a Capacity Leader for the Production Department in Arboga.

Do you want a job where your structure and planning skills actually make a difference for Sweden's security? As a Capacity Leader at FMTIS in Uppsala, you play a key role in managing and optimizing the IT environments that keep the Armed Forces connected.

About the Role

As a Capacity Leader, you are the link between strategy and reality. You are part of a team responsible for ensuring that our IT systems have the space and resources they need. This includes everything from planning the placement of new hardware in racks to coordinating our skilled data center technicians in the field.

Your main tasks:

  • Plan & Optimize: You allocate space in rack environments and monitor resource utilization.
  • Technology Upgrade: You plan for future hardware and participate in central capacity projects.
  • Coordinate: You support technicians in their daily work and ensure that documentation and drawings are accurate.
  • Administration: Handling visitor permits and authorizations is a natural part of the workflow.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a natural drive who enjoys building relationships. You are analytical, like order and structure, and see solutions where others see obstacles.

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree in IT/technology or equivalent experience.
  • Background in operations, management, or data centers.
  • Driver's license (manual) and good knowledge of Swedish and English.
  • Meritorious: ITIL certification, project management experience, or previous work in the Armed Forces' systems.

About the Unit and Department

DriftE is one of 12 units within FMTIS and is responsible for acting as the Armed Forces' network operator, monitoring and managing problems and incidents, as well as performing maintenance and remote troubleshooting in the Armed Forces' IT and telecommunications systems. DriftE has approximately 300 employees distributed across 8 departments, of which the Production Department (ProdAvd) is one. ProdAvd is responsible for production planning and following up on the IT/Tele support delivered both centrally and locally within the Armed Forces. The Production Department is also responsible for developing, describing, and following up on our IT and Tele processes, planning for the implementation of major changes, and coordinating the implementation of changes in our IT systems.
