Surahammars Bruks AB was founded in 1622, and we are Scandinavia's only manufacturer of electroplated steel, a material that is a prerequisite for efficient and environmentally friendly generation, transmission, and use of electricity. The largest customer group consists of manufacturers of motors and generators. We currently have 105 employees with headquarters and development department in Surahammar.

About the role

You will work broadly as an IT technician, handling everything from client and server environments to networks, support, and various development projects. At the same time, you will collaborate closely with the business to understand needs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive changes that create real value.

You will be responsible for our IT support for users and applications, where troubleshooting and installations are part of your everyday work. The work takes place in our client and server environments, networks, and Microsoft 365/Office 365.

Alongside daily tasks, you will drive and coordinate IT-related development activities/projects in close collaboration with the business. We also expect you to work with business-related improvement work by mapping needs, prioritizing improvements, and following up on results.

The demands for information security are increasing, among other things, through NIS2 and ISO 27001. The role will gradually be included in security work and support the long-term establishment of structures, routines, and controls. There is an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility in this area over time.

Who you are?

We are looking for someone with a good technical understanding and experience in IT support, operations, and who has worked in business-related IT projects.

You thrive in the intersection between technology and business – a role that combines IT technician, IT project manager, system administrator, and business analyst. You have the ability to see the big picture, understand how systems support the business, and translate insights into concrete improvements.

As a person, you are social, confident, and relationship-building, with the ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically.
