Kungsgatan is an LSS residence for adults located in central Uppsala. Here, 12 individuals live in their own apartments with access to shared spaces for those who wish. The focus is on individuals with various functional variations who need support in their daily lives. We are looking for someone who is attentive, stable, and has a genuine commitment and curiosity for other people. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life – while also growing in your role.
About the role of Support AssistantWe are now seeking hourly substitutes for work year-round as needed, as well as temporary positions over the summer. As a support assistant with us, you will work to provide a meaningful and predictable everyday life with a lot of structure for those living with us. We work purposefully based on the assignment plan, have a professional and salutogenic approach and working method while also working within the resources and budget of the organization.
We adapt our work based on each individual's conditions and needs, with the starting point being the individual's personal implementation plan. Our goal is for those living with us to become as independent as possible, and we support them in using their own resources to develop and achieve a good quality of life. Our working method involves having a low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy.
RequirementsYou are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.
You have excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have good computer skills, experience in documentation, and administering medication. You have experience and knowledge of the target group within LSS. You have experience and knowledge of how to prevent challenging behavior as well as threats and violence.
You have a high school education, such as child and leisure program, care and nursing program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or university education in a relevant field.
It is an advantage if you also have:Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal approach.
Driver's license.

Employment ConditionsEmployment Type: Hourly substitutes year-round and summer jobs, fixed-term employment. Working Hours: Varies based on needs, ranging from 30-100%. Working Time: Rotating schedule, day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call may occur. Start Date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start shortly. Collective Agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
