Åsgatan is an LSS residence for children and young people. We are centrally located in Alsike in Knivsta, close to shops and nature. There are good bus connections to and from the residence.
About the role of support assistantAs a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to children and young people with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support our youth in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for our youth to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.
QualificationsYou are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience working in healthcare and social services.
High school education such as child and youth program, healthcare and social services program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.
Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
Worked with complex support needs.
Employment type: Substitute Collective agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement to Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
