The Social Administration (SCF) is led by a director and is divided into four departments: SCF Staff, Child and Youth Authority, Child and Youth Services, and Adults.

The Social Administration in Uppsala is transitioning to the new Social Services Act and is focusing on high quality in its work. One of the department's main focuses is to promote the participation of children and families and increase network involvement.

The Network Center is a new collaborative function aimed at preventing placements and strengthening children's connections with their networks. The purpose of the operation involves closer cooperation between the Child and Youth Authority and Child and Youth Services, as well as new structures for working with home relocation processes and crisis support.

The Family Support Group is part of the social services and currently consists of 14 family pedagogues and a manager who shares with another unit. Our office is located on von Bahrs väg in Uppsala, but we have the entire Uppsala Municipality as our work field. As a family therapist, you will belong to the Family Support Group but work specifically with our newly started operation, the Network Center.

Job Description

As a family therapist, you will work closely with other functions within the Network Center under the leadership of the team's leader. The tasks involve support during visits, network work, and work with home relocation processes. The goal is that through early and intensive support, we can assist placed children and their networks in finding alternative solutions to placements by involving the network.

The work will be carried out both at home and in our facilities through family therapy sessions and guided visits. Documentation takes place in the operational system Lifecare.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or behavioral scientist. To succeed in this role, you need to be an experienced and stable family therapist with a strong belief in families' own abilities.

We would prefer that you have training in systems theory, signs of safety, or basic psychotherapy training, such as step 1.

As a person, you are flexible and easily adapt when needs and conditions change. You remain calm and stable in all situations, creating security. Furthermore, you work attentively and smoothly with colleagues and contribute to constructive collaboration. Through your empathetic ability, you can understand others' perspectives, allowing you to meet them in a professional and respectful manner.
