Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to persons who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You safeguard the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the position We are currently looking to strengthen a wonderful assistance team in a cozy area in Björklinge. The area also has good bus connections for those who use public transport.

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done. You should also be resourceful and able to provide good care to an 8-year-old girl with multiple disabilities and extensive medical needs.

We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• have a genuine interest in children and enjoy working with children

• have good knowledge of Swedish

• are tolerant of furry pets

It is also an advantage if you:

• have previous experience working as a personal assistant, preferably with experience of working with children

• have good physical fitness, as the girl is often on the floor and the work requires you to be mobile and active to meet her where she is and provide the best possible support

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current form of employment is "as long as the assistance assignment lasts". We are looking for two people for two current positions. One schedule is approximately 80%: varying days, evenings, and weekends. The other position is 50% night shifts, every other weekend, and every other week two weekdays.

Salary:

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other compensation is made according to the collective agreement.

Start date:

2026-04-04 or by agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents that confirm the right to work within Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a register extract from all employees who are to work as a personal assistant for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police criminal register prior to a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
