JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for several individuals to work in personal assistance with a man in his 30s. We work to build relationships and create conditions for an improved living situation and reduced social exclusion. We work preventively, with a low-arousal approach, and based on the individual's needs and possibilities.

As a personal assistant, you make a difference in people's lives. Your role is to support the individual in achieving increased independence both at home and in social contexts. You motivate and support them in their daily lives, ensure that the individual's basic care needs are met, and assist with household chores and practical tasks. The work also includes working based on implementation plans, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining contact with relatives and guardians.

The position involves working according to a rolling schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts as well as awake night shifts. The employment rate may vary based on needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a 2-year post-secondary education (YH) with a pedagogical focus such as social pedagogue or treatment pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position.

Other education that the employer considers relevant for the position (determined based on the competencies needed) may include:

• nursing assistant degree with a focus on psychiatry
• treatment assistant education, YH, 1-2 years
• CBT pedagogue, YH, 2 years
• Health pedagogue, YH, 2 years

To succeed in the job, you need to have experience working with people with mental disabilities. The work requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing, and that you have good documentation skills.

As a person, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Furthermore, you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and approach. Last but not least, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of low-arousal approaches, motivational interviewing, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
