Are you a qualified social worker who wants to contribute to ensuring that children and young people receive the right interventions at the right time? With us, you will have an independent job with your own responsibility while receiving close support from colleagues and team leaders. We warmly welcome your application!
The authority of the Care Committee is responsible for providing services to people with disabilities who need support in their daily lives. The authority is divided into eight units, each working towards different target groups.
We are now looking for case officers for the Children and Youth unit. Here, ten case officers work together with a team leader and a unit manager. We process interventions according to both LSS and SoL for children and young people aged 0-18 years. The work is always based on a clear child perspective, with a strong focus on involving children in decisions that affect them.
Our workplace is centrally located in Uppsala, in the City Hall. Here we work in bright and modern premises where you can choose your workspace based on the tasks you need to perform. With us, you have great opportunities to plan and organize your work independently. Thanks to our digitized processing system, you can also work from home a few days a week.
Job Description
As a case officer, you will receive applications, investigate needs, make decisions, and follow up on cases in close dialogue with the child, guardians, and other important people in the child's network. You will also collaborate with other administrations, authorities, and the region to create a comprehensive picture of the child's needs.
Your role also includes informing about the authority's mission, our services, current legislation, and the rights of users. You will stay updated by seeking information on new rulings and using legal databases to ensure that the processing follows the applicable legal framework.
We strive to be open and clear towards our users and to provide good service while ensuring a legally secure and efficient processing. The authority is in constant development, both in terms of working methods and organization, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to this work.
When you start with us, you will receive an introductory period with support from a mentor and access to an introductory package with training that provides a secure start in the role of case officer.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You need to have good oral and written skills in Swedish as the job involves documentation and contact with both children and guardians.
It is an advantage if you have experience with the individual's needs in focus (IBIC) or training in the field. We would also like you to have experience in authority work and with the target group of people with disabilities. It is also beneficial if you have worked in the operational system Lifecare.
As a person, you are flexible and easily adapt to changing situations and new conditions when interacting with children, young people, and their families. You have a good empathetic ability and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You are clear in your communication and ensure that everyone understands the information and decisions. At the same time, you work in a structured manner and maintain good order in your processes so that cases are handled legally and with high quality.
