Description

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and has an easy time meeting the user based on their needs and wishes.

The boy lives with his parents and siblings in a scenic residential area. The family has pets (rabbit, cat, and dog) and enjoys being outdoors, swimming, boating, and spending time with relatives and friends.

As a personal assistant, you will be important in helping the child’s daily life run smoothly, and you will work both independently and with colleagues.

We offer you the training required for the assignment and a good introduction together with your future colleagues.

Responsibilities

Working with people with various functional variations is a broad, diverse, and challenging job that places high demands on commitment, empathy, interaction, collaboration, structure, and endurance. In your role as an assistant, you are the user’s extended arm in everyday life. This includes supporting various activities with care, assisting with meals, and ensuring that medication is taken as needed. Travel in the service may occur in some cases when the child is hospitalized.

Since the boy has been granted assistance at school, you will also work some hours in the school’s premises.

The working hours are scheduled for all days and hours of the week. Nighttime work is performed as awake night shifts.

Qualifications

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and expect you to have a genuine interest in working with children. Personal chemistry will be crucial, and you need to be confident in yourself and have a very good ability to meet the user based on their needs and wishes. Without taking over parental responsibility, you must be comfortable working for someone who is in great need of you in various situations.

Education as a nursing assistant or childcare worker is highly meritorious. It is also very advantageous if you have previously worked with tracheostomy, suction, respirators, feeding tubes, inhalers, and humidification machines.

Personal qualities that are meritorious:

• You are calm and secure and have drive.
• You are structured and enjoy planning and preparing.
• You take responsibility for what needs to be done.

You must have a very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
