Job Responsibilities

The resource will be part of a unit within Svenska kraftnät responsible for project and program support within the investment activities for construction projects. The unit consists of both employees and consultants with corresponding assignments, which means that the work is carried out in close collaboration and with joint development of methods and working practices. The job responsibilities include supporting project managers and lead project managers in the development of forecasts, calculations, analyses, and investigations of financial issues such as accounting issues, financial planning, and follow-up within construction projects in Division Grid. Additionally, analyzing and following up on the causes of deviations from forecasts and annual plans in projects together with project managers and lead project managers. The work is also done in consultation with the program's controller function, especially in forecasting work.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

• Support lead project managers and project managers in analyses and investigations of financial issues within projects

• Together with project managers, develop and schedule project forecasts and ensure their quality - produce forecast materials in dialogue with project managers and sub-project managers

• Create a structure for analysis and follow-up within the financial area of the project (working methods, ongoing billing, changes, templates, forecasts, risks, uncertainties, unforeseen costs, indices, quantities)

• Ensure the quality of the materials for the project's financial reporting

• Regular follow-up and analysis of the causes of deviations from forecasts and annual plans in projects together with project managers and lead project managers

• If necessary, present financial issues in various meeting forums

• Conduct simple training for project members in the financial area

Requirements 1. Bachelor's or university degree in finance. 2. At least 10 years of work experience as an economist. 3. At least 5 years of work experience in the last 10 years in the role of economist within project operations, for example as a project controller, program controller, or project economist.

The experience must be from construction or infrastructure projects where individual projects had a budget of at least 0.5 billion SEK. The main task must have been to work as financial support to project managers and lead project managers or equivalent roles. The experience must pertain to operational and project-related work. Experience in overall controlling at the portfolio or organizational level is not accepted as fulfilling the requirement. 4. At least 4 years of work experience in the role of economist in construction or infrastructure projects that have been conducted as collaborative contracts or partnering.

Merit 1. At least 5 years of work experience as a project economist/project controller or similar role on both contractor and client sides in project operations. 2. At least 3 years of work experience as a project economist/project controller within government operations.
