We at Vindex are now looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for an exciting consulting assignment with an established company in the pension and insurance sector.

The assignment is an interim position with an estimated duration of about six months, where you will work as a consultant through Vindex.

About the role

As an Accounting Manager, you will be a central part of the accounting team and responsible for the entire accounting process. The work includes year-end closing, financial reporting, and income tax, as well as implementing new reporting requirements and documenting financial processes. The role requires you to work independently with significant responsibility, ensuring quality and internal control in a regulated financial environment. We prefer that you have experience in insurance and occupational pensions, as well as familiarity with working in Raindance.

Location: Stockholm

Main responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of ongoing accounting and document financial processes to comply with applicable regulations and frameworks for internal control
• Be responsible for and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including internal and external reporting
• Prepare and follow up on financial reports, analyses, and variances
• Implement new regulatory reporting requirements, including related to additional tax reporting and ESAP
• Ensure accurate and complete reporting to the supervisory authority
• Identify areas for improvement and drive efficiency and automation of accounting processes
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and supervisory authorities, to ensure accurate accounting and reporting

Qualifications

• Academic degree in finance, e.g., Master of Business Administration or Economics, or other relevant higher education
• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work and a good understanding of the entire accounting process, including year-end closing
• Experience in documenting and ensuring financial processes within the framework of internal control
• Experience in financial reporting
• Confident and self-sufficient in accounting work, with documented experience in driving the implementation of new reporting requirements

Preferred qualifications

• Experience from the occupational pension or life insurance industry
• Previous experience in auditing
• Experience in financial reporting in listed companies
• Experience with accounting systems such as Raindance, Dimension, or Lumera
• Experience in regulated financial operations
• Courses or certifications in the pension and insurance area

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is analytical and meticulous, as well as confident in your accounting skills. You are used to working independently with significant responsibility throughout the entire accounting process. With a structured approach and an eye for detail, you ensure high quality in both ongoing accounting and reporting.

We prefer that you have experience and knowledge in occupational pensions and life insurance, as well as experience working in Raindance.
