We are now looking for case officers for our Competent Authority function, located in Sundbyberg.
About the job
As a case officer within the Competent Authority, you will handle cases with international connections. The Swedish Enforcement Authority acts as the Swedish competent authority according to international agreements, which means you play a central role in ensuring that applications are processed correctly, lawfully, and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Your work will include receiving and forwarding applications from foreign authorities and communicating and collaborating with international counterparts. Everyone working at the Swedish Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a case officer, you may, for example, alert other authorities if a person receives benefits on incorrect grounds. This can result in you contributing to stopping incorrect payments from the welfare system.

You work results-oriented, demonstrate decisiveness, and focus on what needs to be achieved. You are stable and trustworthy in meetings with people in vulnerable situations. You communicate easily and are pedagogical in your interactions with customers. You have an analytical ability that allows you to see connections and find the most effective solutions. You adapt to circumstances and changes that occur.
Your qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1 year of work experience in administrative or case handling work within the last three years
- Current work experience handling international cases or international collaborations
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
It is desirable that you master additional languages beyond Swedish and English, such as languages that are often encountered in international contacts. It is also desirable that you have current work experience in case handling within the public sector.
About us
The Swedish Enforcement Authority is a government agency with an important mission. We work closely with people in vulnerable situations. We assist those who have not been paid and guide those who need to pay. We provide citizens and businesses with information and good service so they can make long-term and sustainable decisions. This requires knowledge, decisiveness, care, and courage. We contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses – a society where debts and other claims are established and collected in a lawful manner.
With us, you can expect challenging tasks that are also developing for you. When you leave work at the end of the day, you can be sure that you have done something that truly matters – both for others and for yourself.

The information obtained is considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision is made. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
