Senior Prosecutor at the Economic Crime Authority

The Economic Crime Authority prevents, detects, interrupts, investigates, and prosecutes economic crimes. Our 800 employees have various competencies and professional roles, such as prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, administrators, and other specialists, all working together against economic crime. We are now looking for one or more senior prosecutors who want to work at the Economic Crime Authority's investigation unit in Linköping. Workplace

At the Economic Crime Authority in Linköping, the operations are conducted at an economic crime chamber and a police operational unit. The chamber in Linköping also has an office in Örebro. This position is located in Linköping.

Job Responsibilities

In the chamber, prosecutors, police officers, investigators in areas such as auditing and analysis, and administrators work. Investigations are conducted in workgroups tailored to the scope and complexity of the case. Together, the different competencies work in teams based on the assignment to effectively investigate and prosecute economic crime. The prosecutor drives the preliminary investigation from the moment a case is received and the preliminary investigation is initiated until the case is concluded.

As a senior prosecutor, you are expected to handle all types of cases and take significant responsibility for the entire chamber's operations and results, even outside your own department. As a senior prosecutor, you share your expertise in daily work and may receive assignments as a mentor and trainer.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • is or has been a chamber prosecutor
  • is confident in the prosecutor role and has great skill in the various aspects of the profession
  • has the ability to drive complicated investigations effectively.

In assessing skills, both prosecutorial experience and other experience in qualified legal work relevant to the prosecutor's work will be considered. Furthermore, we will take into account the ability to lead preliminary investigations, litigation, and legal knowledge.

We also see that you have experience with cases concerning economic crime, other business-related or property law crimes. It is advantageous if you also have:

  • experience with investigations regarding organized crime
  • experience using covert coercive measures
  • experience with investigations with international connections
  • experience with crime exchange issues and insolvency law
  • good digital skills and the ability to adapt to new programs and systems.
