The role of a personal assistant involves enabling a functioning everyday life for another person. The client is a woman in her thirties with diagnoses of autism and epilepsy. Her daily life requires presence, structure, and genuine engagement from the people working around her.

About the assignment As a personal assistant, you will provide support in all areas of daily life. The client has extensive support needs, which means the work is varied and includes many different tasks.

- Communication and structure: Being a support in social contexts and in the planning of daily life. - Physical support: Assistance with transfers and personal care. - Activities: Participation in daily activities as well as leisure activities such as swimming and horseback riding.

We are looking for someone who has a natural ability to convey security. Previous experience in care and support is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and commitment to the profession.

• Personal maturity: You are stable and can remain calm even in unforeseen situations (for example, during epileptic seizures).

• Responsiveness: You have a good ability to determine when you need to be active and when it is best to give space and be more in the background.

• Driver's license: Since the client has access to her own car, it is desirable that you have a driver's license.

Working hours and extent We are looking for hourly substitutes who can work as needed. The work is based on shifts and includes waiting time.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solitary work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

OP Assistans offers safe and respectful personal assistance. We build close and long-term relationships as a smaller company, but at the same time have the security and resources from our larger group, Team Olivia. Many of our managers have personal experience as personal assistants, which provides a deep understanding of the profession. We follow the collective agreement between Kommunal/Care Companies.
