About the workplace
Do you want a key role in the development of social services for Children and Youth while making a real difference for children, youth, and their families? The Children and Youth department in Uddevalla municipality is now looking for an engaged and driven business developer who wants to lead our transformation journey in connection with the new social services act.
With us, the entire social services mission for children and youth is gathered – from preventive work to authority exercise and service delivery. This gives you a unique opportunity to work strategically, long-term, and close to operations in an organization that truly wants to develop.
You will work closely with the department's management team. You will become part of a network of business developers where the focus is on analyzing quality and results for our users, translating knowledge into practice, and driving development based on the needs of the operations. Your work will largely be done in close collaboration with the business developer within the adult support department.

Job responsibilities
As a business developer, you are a qualified support to both managers and employees. You combine strategic thinking with a practical approach and contribute to ensuring that development actually happens. In the role, you will among other things:
- Lead and drive process and business development, investigations, and improvement work
- Work with quality monitoring, analysis, and goal fulfillment
- Monitor the external environment and ensure that the department works in line with new legislation, research, and national guidelines
- Support managers and operations in both operational and strategic matters
- Coordinate and implement development projects
- Prepare and present cases to the social welfare board, including service writings and statements
- Contribute to a legally secure working method and ensure that digital solutions are used where they create benefits

Qualifications
- Degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Several years of relevant experience in authority exercise within Children and Youth
- Experience working as a business developer, project manager, strategist – or previous manager/team leader within social services.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Several years of experience from the department's areas of operation

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered.
Criminal record checks are conducted for all positions within the social services administration. For positions within HVB operations, an extract from the HVB home is requested. For positions aimed at children with disabilities, extracts for children with disabilities and a check of personal data are requested. For other positions within the social services administration, an extract for checking personal data is requested.
If the extract is not digital, it must be brought in an unopened envelope in connection with the check.

Employment is subject to the necessary decisions being made. For positions that involve direct and regular contact with children and youth, as well as for operations within LSS, care and nursing, health care, psychiatric care, and addiction care, a valid extract from the police's criminal record must be presented or submitted before employment. Keep in mind that it may take time to obtain the extract, so order it in good time to avoid delaying the recruitment process.
