Responsibilities
Your primary focus as a Third Line Tech is the technical endpoint in Norteam's support organization; you take over when cases & various technical problems are at their most complex. You work with in-depth troubleshooting, system improvement, and technical development of their customers' IT environments. You are an important knowledge resource for the entire support team and actively contribute to improving the quality of deliveries.
Furthermore, they expect you to handle escalated incidents, drive improvement projects, and participate in technical migrations and upgrades. You work closely with the infrastructure and security teams and are often the one who has direct contact with suppliers and partners during complex installations.
Below is a selection of tasks you can expect in the role:
- Solve advanced technical problems within networks, servers, and applications
- Perform root cause analyses and implement long-term solutions
- Work with public cloud solutions within Microsoft, such as Azure and M365
- Participate in projects regarding system upgrades and technical development
- Document solutions and contribute to Norteam's internal knowledge base
- Be a mentor and technical support for First and Second Line
- Work with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
- Ensure that customers' IT environments are stable, secure, and scalable
We are looking for someone who
- Has good knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure/Intune
- Possesses experience in network troubleshooting, firewalls, VPN, and WiFi
- Has experience with public cloud solutions and/or virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Has knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting
- Has experience working with security, backup, and access management
It is a plus if you have
- Understanding of ITIL and the ability to establish relevant documentation
- Certifications from Microsoft or equivalent
- Certifications from Microsoft or similar
We believe that you who are applying are an experienced IT technician with several years of experience in support, operations, and complex troubleshooting – preferably in roles such as Second or Third Line. You have deep and broad technical competence, but also a strong sense of service and communication. We are looking for you who has technical breadth as your specialty.
Norteam is a Microsoft-oriented IT provider, but it is a great advantage if you have good experience in several different technical environments. Furthermore, you are also a flexible person who enjoys working at different levels and loves to take on new technical challenges. You are self-driven and proactive with a solution-oriented mindset. You take responsibility, drive cases all the way to completion, and contribute to continuous improvements. Your technical competence allows you to handle complex challenges, and your experience gives you the confidence to make decisions and stand by them.
