We are looking for a special educator for the preschool area of Anderstorp/Sörböle/Care. Care refers to care activities for children aged 1–12 years that are conducted during inconvenient working hours.

YOUR ROLE

As a special educator, your tasks will include providing support to the principal and educators in matters concerning children in need of special support, both at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will contribute to the overall work of developing and adapting learning environments to promote all children's learning and development. An important part of the work is to participate in the follow-up and evaluation of various interventions, as well as to provide guidance, consultation, and training directly in the operations. In your role, you will also conduct educational assessments and evaluations to identify children's support needs, and if necessary, establish action plans in collaboration with the educational staff.

The work also involves collaboration with both internal and external contacts, as well as developing cooperation with guardians to ensure the best development for the children. Furthermore, you will assist the preschool with support in matters related to educational assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school.

You will work closely with the management team and contribute to various processes and some training initiatives.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who is a trained special educator and has a teaching degree. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, are confident in your professional role, and use digital tools in your work, as well as having good knowledge of documentation. You work in a structured manner, are attentive, and enjoy the role of a mentor. Furthermore, you are well acquainted with the preschool's mission and governing documents.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with children in need of special support. We would like you to have experience working as a special educator and preschool teacher in preschool. You have a solution-focused and creative approach and see the possibilities in each child's unique strengths. You need a B driver's license and access to a car to travel to different preschools in the principal's area.

To work within Education and labor market activities, you must provide a criminal record extract. You will order the extract for school and childcare from the Police (https://polisen.se/ (https://polisen.se/)).

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Within the preschool area of Anderstorp/Sörböle/Care, the preschools Gomorronsol, Pusselbiten, Kvisten, Södergård preschool/care, and Getberget preschool/care are included, which you will support together with other special educators in the area. Your main assignment is linked to this principal area, but the position also involves assisting and collaborating with other principal areas as needed.
