We are looking for a teacher in the subject of handicrafts at Vindelälvsskolan in Sorsele municipality.

Job Responsibilities:

You will teach the subject of handicrafts. Your teaching will cover grades 3 to 9. At Vindelälvsskolan, you are expected to collaborate with colleagues who teach other subjects, and the pedagogical leadership from the principal encourages cooperation across subject boundaries.

You will have a colleague who teaches textile handicrafts. Collaboration across the handicraft disciplines is desirable.

The position may also involve mentorship and teaching during extra study time.

In wood and metal handicrafts, you will contribute to students developing entrepreneurial skills. You will plan and implement student-centered teaching where students can work creatively, test and revise their ideas, and take action.

Your work includes teaching students with different backgrounds and abilities, and we expect you to have a strong ability to meet students where they are in their development with your formative approach.

Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible, clear, and structured teacher in teaching situations, and have a positive and solution-focused approach. Competence/Qualifications - Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with authorization to teach handicrafts up to grade 9.

Meritorious qualifications include current work experience with several years of teaching experience in primary school. It is also an advantage if you are trained to mentor student teachers, as well as if you have training in NPF.

Duration/Working Hours:

Permanent. Part-time 50%. The position may possibly be expanded with another assignment if necessary decisions are made, see other positions advertised in Sorsele municipality.
