The administrative unit consists of 12 people who support students, doctoral students, teachers, researchers, employees, and affiliates at the institution.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate education administration, the unit is also responsible for personnel, finance, and institution-wide issues.

Your role

The position is a combined role as an economist/research coordinator, which requires the ability to independently manage many different tasks.

As a coordinator, you are expected to assist researchers with applications, interpret regulations, and develop project budgets, as well as coordinate agreements with external parties, ethics applications, etc.

In your financial role, you will handle purchases and procurement, contract management, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Your tasks will also include invoice review and archiving.

The role also includes collaborating in networks with other economists and research coordinators at KI and driving the development of processes within the finance function.

You will work closely with others in the finance function at the institution, but the work also involves contacts with external parties, management, and technical/administrative staff.

You meet the following requirements

  • University degree in economics or equivalent education deemed comparable by the employer.
  • At least two years of experience in independent financial and budget work.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • You handle Swedish and English very well in both speech and writing.

Meritorious

  • Experience of similar tasks and project applications from KI, or another university or government agency.
  • Experience in purchasing and procurement from KI, another university, or government agency.
  • Experience with the financial system UBW (Agresso).
  • Experience in independent review and reporting of projects.
  • Good understanding of regulations, ordinances, and documents that govern operations at a Swedish university.
