Controller for the Naval Staff's Financial Management Section

About the Unit
The Naval Staff's Financial Management Section leads, analyzes, and compiles the Navy's financial position and needs in the short and long term. In close collaboration with naval units and other sections of the Naval Staff, we create a good economic overview for senior management.
Main Responsibilities
As a controller in the Financial Management Section, you will:
- Analyze and compile the Navy's budget and forecasts within the unit's budget
- Support and guide the Navy's units in financial management-related issues
- Participate in and conduct preparations of an economic nature
- Engage in development work within the section
- Update the section's routines
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
To take on the role of controller in the Financial Management Section, you need to have:
- A degree in business administration or an equivalent education assessed by the employer
- Experience working with transactions and reports in SAP or systems deemed equivalent by the employer
- Good proficiency in the Office suite, especially Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Personal Attributes
To succeed in the role of controller in the Financial Management Section, you need to be interested in the Armed Forces' operations and financial management. Additionally, you should be solution-oriented, engaged, and structured. You must also have good collaboration skills but be able to drive your work forward independently within given frameworks. Since the job involves many contact points within the Armed Forces, high demands are placed on communication skills and integrity.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
DESIRABLE
- Work experience in the financial field within the Armed Forces
- Completed military service, participation in voluntary defense organizations, or completed officer training
- Service in a naval unit

Other Information
Employment type: Permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period.
Employment rate: Full-time.
Work location: Haninge/Muskö. The Armed Forces has an established bus connection starting at Vattugatan with stops at Gullmarsplan, Sockenvägen, Västerhaninge station, Ribbyskolan, Ösmo traffic interchange, and Muskö base.
Start date: As soon as possible by agreement.
Business travel may occur to a limited extent.

Leadership for a stronger defense aims to increase robustness, simplify command and obedience conditions, and through decentralization of mandates and responsibilities enhance the conditions for mission tactics.
As part of this work, the Armed Forces has organized a Naval Staff for the leadership of the naval units. The Naval Staff is established in Muskö in Haninge municipality.
