Envirologic develops autonomous washing robots for industry and agriculture. It involves software that directly controls physical machines. The company is publicly traded, has a 25-year history, and is in a phase where the software team needs more senior developers to accelerate product development.

Here, you sit next to mechanics, electronics, and customers. You see the entire chain, from low-level communication with motors to the graphical interface that the operator uses in the field.

About the role

We are looking for a senior application developer for Envirologic's office in Uppsala. You will be part of a development team of 7-8 people within an organization of 21, where you work closely with both hardware, mechanics, and end customers.

The role is primarily application development (80-90%) with elements of machine-level communication. A concrete example: you develop a lifting function that includes low-level communication with motors, application logic for control, GUI with buttons and settings, and documentation. The graphical interface resembles other business systems – tables, buttons, flows, and programming interfaces.

The team works agile in 3-week sprints with open communication and clear ownership. You have the freedom to own your deliveries within clear frameworks and direction.

Your responsibilities

• Develop applications that control and support the washing robots

• Build and maintain graphical interfaces (Qt or equivalent)

• Manage communication between application and hardware

• Participate in technical decisions, architecture, and prioritization

• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

• Be involved in discussions spanning code, electronics, and mechanics

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 5 years of work experience in software development

• Backend/server-side (Python)

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent

• Experience with Qt framework or equivalent graphical interface framework

• Ability to navigate between application logic and user interface

• Fluent in Swedish and English

Preferred:

• Experience with hardware-near development or communication with physical devices

• C/C++

• Embedded development

• Consulting background with experience from various assignments and environments
