Your New Job

Do you want to help show students the way from job dreams to dream jobs and shape the future together with them? Then the position as a vocational teacher in the Vehicle and Transport Program could be just right for you. In this role, you will teach students in core subjects, both practically and theoretically, and work at Bäckadalsgymnasiet TTC with placement at Åsens driving range. You will teach first-year students in both the national program and introductory program, while also mentoring a student group and actively contributing to a safe, inclusive, and developing learning environment.

In addition to teaching in the national program, the position may also involve working with students in Vocational Introduction. Here, you will collaborate closely with mentors, study and career counselors, and student health services to create structured and student-centered teaching that meets each student's individual needs.

The role also includes collaborating in an engaged teaching team and maintaining close contact with guardians, student health services, school management, and other staff. You will also work with the industry and follow up on students' progress, as well as actively participate in the school's development work and contribute to a modern education in vehicles and transport.

Your Competence

We prefer that you are a qualified vocational teacher in the Vehicle and Transport Program. If you lack teaching certification but have extensive experience in the industry, you are still warmly welcome to apply, and you will need to be prepared to obtain your qualification. We are looking for someone who is responsible and solution-oriented, flexible and collaborative, and who feels confident in their professional role and has experience working with young people. You have a strong interest in developing teaching and pedagogical methods, and you are used to – or willing to – work digitally as a natural part of the teaching profession. We place particular emphasis on good pedagogical skills, relationship-building competence, and a desire to actively contribute to students' development.

It is advantageous if you have experience teaching vehicle subjects at the upper secondary level, as well as previous teaching experience and experience working with young people. Teaching certification and good contacts within the vehicle and transport industry are also seen as clear advantages in this role.
