Your New Job

In this role, you will primarily teach and support students in the vocational introduction program in the Vehicle and Transport Program, both in and outside the classroom. You will mainly teach Swedish/Swedish as a second language and English, but also provide support in other subjects based on the students' individual needs.

You will be a central part of the work surrounding our students in vocational introduction, where we tailor individual study plans for each student through collaboration between mentors, career counselors, and special education teachers. For this, you need to have:

• excellent communication skills
• understanding of how students absorb knowledge
• ability to see and meet different students' needs

You will work closely with teachers in the team, special educators, other support staff, as well as students and guardians through mentorship.

As a special teacher, you are expected to be solution-focused, flexible, and responsible, taking a holistic approach to the student's school situation – even outside of teaching times. You will be an important part of Bäckadalsgymnasiet's overall mission and actively participate in the school's development work.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a special education degree or other relevant special pedagogical competence and experience. You are qualified to teach Swedish or Swedish as a second language and English in grades 7–9. As a person, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and confident in your professional role. You are social and flexible, with a strong interest in developing teaching and working with student-centered pedagogical methods. You are used to collaborating and are happy to contribute to an organization with a holistic perspective.

Patience, joy in work, and creativity are valuable traits in this role. We particularly value your ability to inspire, motivate, and build good relationships with high school students.
