We are now looking for a structured and meticulous Technical Documenter for our client in Västerås. The role suits you who thrives in a technical environment where order, structure, and quality in documentation are crucial for efficient production.

Here you will have a central role in ensuring that correct and complete documentation is available before and during production, as well as ensuring that the flow of information works smoothly between different systems and functions.

About the assignment

As a Technical Documenter, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing technical documentation related to production and material handling. You will work closely with production, technology, and planning, ensuring that the right materials are in place at the right time.

The role involves both administrative and technical work in several different systems and requires good structure, system understanding, and collaboration skills.

Examples of tasks:

• Review and create Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Create drawing packages and compile documentation
• Manage and merge instructions, material lists, and drawing documents
• Upload and manage documents in shared SharePoint environments
• Send documents for translation (for example, into English and Polish)
• Create labels, pallet flags, and other production markings
• Prepare and ensure complete documentation before production
• Create production plans
• Work in SRMS (EAM/EAP system) to create items, work orders, assets, and needs based on baseline and material lists
• Manage RedX related to SharePoint, SRMS, and production
• Generate TFS dummy needs
• Script and automate work processes using VBA and Python
• Manage printing of instructions, checklists, and labels
• Administer and allocate materials/equipment as needed

You will be employed as a consultant at Consensus, but the employment will most likely transition to permanent at our client.

Who you are

To succeed in this role, you are meticulous, structured, and have a good technical understanding. You enjoy working in multiple systems simultaneously and have the ability to create order in complex information.

You are self-driven, solution-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating with different functions within a technical organization. Furthermore, you are quality-conscious and have a proactive work approach.

We see that you have:

• Experience in technical documentation within industry/production
• Good experience working with Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing documents
• Experience with SharePoint or similar document management systems
• Experience with business or maintenance systems (for example, EAM/EAP)
• Basic knowledge of VBA and/or Python is an advantage
• Good system understanding and administrative ability
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
