About us

The HR unit consists of 11 dedicated colleagues and a manager. We work closely together and provide support to the municipality's more than 100 managers. The team includes HR partners, HR generalists, negotiation manager, controller, process leader – and you, who will become our new recruitment specialist alongside a colleague.

The mission of the HR unit is to be a consultative support for the municipality's managers and to be policy-bearing in processes related to the employee perspective.

About the position

As a recruitment specialist in Upplands Väsby municipality, you will have a strategically important role in attracting, recruiting, and retaining competent employees. You will have an independent and varied role where you both develop our processes and provide qualified support to our managers.

In your daily work, you will drive several parallel recruitment processes from start to finish in close collaboration with hiring managers. You will be responsible for recruitments to managerial positions throughout the municipality. The work includes both administrative tasks and more qualified elements such as test usage, selection, and consultative advice. Your contribution will be central in ensuring high quality and accuracy in our recruitments.

In addition to the operational work, you will contribute to quality assurance and further develop the municipality's competency-based recruitment process. You will monitor current trends in the field and strengthen recruitment competence within the municipality through training initiatives, coaching, and the development of guides and templates.

There is also the opportunity to take your own initiatives and contribute to adjacent areas and other initiatives that strengthen the development of the organization.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in HR, behavioral science, or another field that the employer finds relevant for the role.
  • Several years of experience in driving recruitment processes from start to finish with associated recruitment administration.
  • A genuine interest and willingness to work with recruitment.
  • Experience in managerial recruitment.
  • Experience with psychological tests, preferably AON's tools.
  • The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in competency-based recruitment.
  • Experience working with employer branding and talent supply.
  • Experience in recruitment in the public sector.
  • Experience in search and target group-adapted marketing.

You are a confident, relationship-building, and trustworthy person who creates good collaborations by being attentive to others' needs. Your confidence in the role allows you to build trust and stability in collaboration with managers and colleagues. You thrive in a consultative role where you can use your understanding of both people and organizations to support managers in their recruitment efforts.
