Do you want to work in a developing environment where you become an important part of the security work at the Government Offices? Are you meticulous, service-oriented, and have experience in administration, preferably within the security field? We are now looking for one or more employees who want to contribute to Sweden's security by managing and administering background checks.

As a security administrator, you will primarily work on administering background checks based on established routines. Your main tasks include:

  • Administration of background checks.
  • The work involves ongoing contacts with HR functions, foreign missions, and the Security Police.
  • Drive the further development of methodology, work processes, and governing documents for background check management and IT platform.
  • Disseminate information and provide support to the organization in security protection and background checks.
  • Conduct follow-up, control, evaluation, and archiving.
  • Participate and support with other administrative tasks within the unit.

Your background

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma, and if you have training in the security protection area, it is an advantage. You have several years of relevant experience in administrative work, such as record-keeping, case and application registration, register maintenance, deregistration, or archiving. You also need to have very good knowledge of the Office suite and be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have experience in the administration of background checks, have worked with security issues in a security organization, and have experience in collaboration and dialogue in a larger organization. If you have good knowledge of the civil servant role, this is also an advantage.

For this role, you need to be quality-conscious and have good judgment, you are service-oriented and have good collaboration skills, which means you find it easy to establish and maintain contacts both internally and externally. You have a good ability to independently drive processes and take initiatives within the framework of the established operations. You also need to act with high integrity as you will handle a large amount of sensitive information.

The position is one or more permanent employments with a six-month probationary period as a start. The position is classified in a security class, and a security review with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen but may have a foreign background.
